Every year for the last twenty years, I have seen the Bare Naked Ladies in concert. I love them, love traditions and love celebrating. This year the only local show is on the day of my son’s karate black belt test. There is no way I would miss that, not even for BNL! So, what is a girl to do? I did some research and found out that they are playing right outside of Toronto, Canada at an outdoor music festival! I am a member of Radisson’s loyalty program, Club Carlson. I can use my points to stay at hotels or even for gas in Canada!
Did you know that this year is Canada’s 150th birthday? What a perfect excuse to explore Canada and my family loves to take a road trip….
So, sounds like a perfect time for a Canadian road trip! From my home base in New England, I can easily get to many great Canadian cities that have Radisson Hotels and have so much to offer for me and my boys! And I can use Radisson’s website to find all the adventure around the cities I will be visiting! Be sure to try it yourself.
Here is our itinerary:
Day 1- Drive to Ottawa, Canada.
To properly celebrate Canada’s birthday, we have to visit its capital. I haven’t been, but hear that the architecture is incredible with both modern and Grand Victorian buildings. I can do some summer educating of the boys at the National Gallery of Canada and the Canada War Museum. While in Ottawa, I can stay at the Radisson Hotel Ottawa Parliament Hill, right in the center of the museums and Victorian architecture.
Day 2- Explore Thousand Islands National Park.
To celebrate their birthday, Canada is rewarding us by giving us free admission to their national parks! My coworker talks about this park constantly. We love exploring the outdoors by hiking and kayaking, so this has long been on my bucket list and is only about an hour from Ottawa.
Day 3- Go to the Folk Festival in Mariposa.
Day 4- Explore Toronto.
I love water, so am excited to stay at Radisson’s Admiral Hotel Toronto Harborfront. I know my boys will want to visit Toronto’s Canada’s Wonderland amusement park. I would love to explore Casa Loma, Toronto’s castle, and the Toronto Botanical Gardens. Everyone will want to visit the famous CN Tower Toronto which is right near the hotel.
Day 5- Explore Niagara Falls
We have been before and we all love it so much, so a return visit is in order! If you haven’t been it is one of the prettiest places on earth and there is so much to do! And, of course, there is a beautiful Radisson with a view of the falls, Radisson Hotel & Suites Fallsview.
But even better you can make your Canadian road trip dreams come true! By visiting www.RadissonCanada.ca you can save on a future two-night stay (12% off).
