I have been married for fifteen years, but we spent our honeymoon in Moorea. We stayed at the Sofitel Ia Ora Beach Resort in an over-water bungalow. The hotel is situated in a lagoon surrounded by an atoll, which results in calm water to snorkel in right from your accommodations. We fed fish through a hinged opening in our glass-topped coffee table. It is a superbly relaxing and beautiful place, perfect for a honeymoon. Because of the atoll, there is peaceful SCUBA diving, as well as other adventure sports. It is a small enough island to explore leisurely, which we did on a rented moped, after a few minor wipe-outs in the sand. The French influenced seafood was memorable. Every day we ate Ceviche, a fish dish marinated in lime juice, which was fresh and tasty.
Where was your most romantic trip?
