Davis Farmland is a place we have visited every summer for the last ten years and my kids still look forward to it. It is advertised as a Children’s Discovery Farm. It is like a huge petting zoo.
When you enter, you can purchase a feed cup which the kids then feed to a huge variety of farm animals. There are kittens, rabbits, birds too.
One of our favorite things is getting to cuddle with the babies- today it was one-day old goats and one-week old calves that you can bottle feed. They also have baby chicks you can hold. There is also a interesting, interactive reptile show and a hayride.
After they have had their fill of animals there is still a lot of fun to be had. There is a kid-sized village to play in, bounce houses, a dinosaur dig, plasma cars, a pretend fishing pond and a whole splash pad. There is food available near the entrance and by the splash pad, which has healthy options. Davis Farmland also has a lot going on in the fall, but those experiences are on our to-do list as we haven’t gotten a chance to try them yet. Feel free to leave comments and please share this article with anyone who might be interested. Happy adventuring.
